Kyla Ross Honored By City This Sunday
The City of Aliso Viejo and Community Association will take turns paying tribute to the Olympic gold medalist during the summer concert at Grand Park.
Olympic gold medalist Kyla Ross will be honored by the City of Aliso Viejo and the Aliso Viejo Community Association (AVCA) this Sunday prior to and during the final summer concert of the year at Grand Park.
Ross, an Aliso Viejo resident, is a member of the U.S. Women's Gymnastics team known as the “Fierce Five” that captured the gold medal in the team all-around competition at the London Olympics.
Ross will be recognized by the AVCA at 5:30 p.m. before the concert starts. Then, at 6:30 p.m., the city will pay tribute to the 15-year-old Aliso Niguel High School sophomore with a “never-before” city recognition that folks won’t want to miss, according to the press release.

The summer concert will feature Stone Soul, which will rock the Town Center Amphitheater with '60s Motown music until 7:30 p.m.
