The Habit Burger Grill, scheduled to open Dec. 7 in Aliso Viejo's Town Center, will hold several pre-opening events to benefit local and national charities.

The company will donate 100 percent of the pre-opening profits to Savannah's Organic Ranch, Muscular Dystrophy Association and Share Our Strength.

"At The Habit, we feel it's important to "do our part" in the communities in which we serve," said Mike Mirkil, vice president of marketing, The Habit Restaurants. "And there's no better way to kick off our relationship with our neighbors in a new community than by reaching out to local and regional/national charities that benefit families in those communities."

Charities were selected because of their commitment to children and families in need.

"We've worked with all three previously and feel strongly that our support should be focused on children and families locally as opposed to nationally or even internationally," Mirkil said. "There are certainly a lot of worthy causes out there to choose from."

The pre-opening events will be held at the following times:

• Savannah's Organic Ranch — Dec. 4, noon to 2 p.m.
• Muscular Dystrophy Association — Dec. 4, 5 to 7 p.m.
• Share Our Strength — Dec. 5, noon to 2 p.m.
