Green City Initiative Workshop Slated for Jan. 10

The City of Aliso Viejo will host the 12th public workshop regarding the Green City Initiative at 7 p.m. on Thursday, January 10 at City Hall, 12 Journey.

The Green City Initiative is a work program that was initiated in 2010 as part of an effort to implement sustainable living practices into everyday city life.

The initiative is focused on education, demonstration and assistance, which will lead to better living and enhanced cost savings. The plan is a comprehensive vision to establish a mind set and way of life to enhance Aliso Viejo's attractiveness and provide a competitive advantage that appeals to folks who want a greener place to live, work and play.

The January 10 meeting will provide an update regarding the status of the Green City Plan document, which is currently available for public review and comment.
