Registration Now Open for College for Kids, Swim Lessons, and the Summer Experience

Registration is now open for Saddleback College’s popular summer program College For Kids.  All classes are offered in two-week blocks, Monday through Thursday, June 30th through August 7th. New to the program this summer is an exciting partnership with Confidence in the Spotlight to offer a College For Kids Junior program for 3 to 5-year-olds, as well as summer camps and classes for older children.

Students between 7 to 17 years old are given an early opportunity to experience college life and develop their own individualized class schedules from a wide range of offerings, including but not limited to: acting, archeology, art, chess, computers, film and animation, history, languages, manners, math, modeling, music, reading, science, sports, study skills, theatre, writing, and more.

In addition to the acclaimed College For Kids program, Saddleback College will celebrate its 35th year of the Junior Gauchos Aquatics swim program. Lessons available include: Parent & Me (3-36 months), Tiny Tot (3-4 years), Beginners, Intermediate, and Competitive Swim (5 years and older). There also are many specialized classes, including Beginning Springboard Diving, Personalized Springboard Diving, and Junior Lifeguard Conditioning.

New this summer from Community Education is the CUSD 2014 Summer Experience, a unique program designed to give children ages 5-12 enrichment classes at several Capistrano Unified School District sites. Building on the successful CUSD Experience this fall and spring, the Summer Experience offers children six weeks of classes in art, science, cooking, sports, academic enrichment, and more.
