Two community association managers from Aliso Viejo were presented with statewide Vision Awards last night by the California Association of Community Managers. Now in its 22nd year, the Vision Awards are presented to the “best of the best” in community association management throughout California.
Kimberly Nielsen, CCAM, with Merit Property Management, ACMF, based in Aliso Viejo, was honored with an award for “Communications Management.” The category recognizes those managers who demonstrate exceptional ability to foster a sense of community among homeowners through effective communication and consensus building.
Ivette Cueva, CCAM, with Seabreeze Management in Aliso Viejo won the “Physical Management” awards for her efforts to improve her communities through skillful oversight of long-term renovation projects and strong financial management.

The awards ceremony was held at the Disneyland Hotel and Convention Center in Anaheim, Calif., as part of CACM’s Statewide EXPO and Conference which draws hundreds of community managers and HOA product and service providers each year. This year’s Vision Awards competition drew close to70 nominations. CACM’s Vision Awards are the only industry awards that focus strictly on community management for the state of California, now home to more than 48,000 homeowners associations.
