Achilles Seeks New Home, Despite His Heel
Heart Bandits holds dog adoptions every Sunday outside Petsmart in Town Center.
Five-year-old Achilles has a limp. Heart Bandits volunteers say it will be harder for him to find a home because of the unknown financial responsibility of taking on a dog with a potential health problem.
A family interested in the male hound-mix at an adoption on Sunday was ready to take him home, until they saw the limp.
Heart Bandits said Achilles' first owner lost their home to foreclosure and couldn't keep the dog.
