Aliso Viejo Ranked Among Top 5 Safest Cities by Security Experts

Aliso Viejo was recently named as the fourth safest city in California by SafeWise, a home security website that released its list of "50 Safest Cities in California."

SafeWise compiled the report using the most recent FBI crime data and other ranking factors like "unique safety initiatives and security programs implemented within the past few years."

Aliso Viejo is the top ranked Orange County city. Three OC cities are listed in SafeWise top 10.

In its review of the city, SafeWise sited the city’s access to the Wood Canyon wilderness, the Orange County trail system and its emphasis on enjoying the outdoors.

“According to the latest FBI Crime Report, less than 10 robberies and just two arsons were reported to law enforcement in 2011,” the site reported. Click here to read the entire review.
