Celebrate Safety and Crime Prevention

"National Night Out for Safety" comes to Aliso Viejo Aug. 9.

Participate in community well being during Aliso Viejo's "National Night Out for Safety" event Aug. 9.

Aliso Viejo Police Services, Laguna Hills Police Services and Target will host the family event from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Target Shopping Center.

The nationwide community-building event promotes safety and participation in anti-crime programs.

  • Free child fingerprint kits
  • Child safety games
  • Sheriff's Department search-and-rescue bloodhounds and patrol vehicle
  • An Orange County Fire Authority Station 57 fire truck
  • Aliso Viejo Family Resource Center referral services
  • Family safety, crime prevention and emergency preparedness booths
  • Free raffles
  • Face-painting
  • Free food
