Chance of Thunderstroms Tonight, Cold Storm Next Week

Fall officially rang in uneventfully last Friday.

However, some dramatic shifts in weather forecast for the next week will make summer seem long gone.

It begins tonight with a 20 percent chance of thunderstorms, according to the National Weather Service. Calm winds and a chance of fog will continue into the weekend with a slight chance of rain through Sunday as moisture from Hurricane Hillary spreads into the region.

In Aliso Viejo, temperatures will reach the mid 70s throughout the weekend.

By mid next week, National Weather Service meteorologists expect an unseasonable cool Pacific storm to blow into the area from Northern California, bringing rain and temperatures 20 degrees below normal.
