The once fresh centerpiece of your Christmas season is rapidly becoming a crispy fire hazard. What now?
Christmas tree recycling season has begun and is scheduled to run until Jan. 13 in Aliso Viejo.
Once all lights, ornaments and decorations have been removed from your tree, dispose of it in your green waste container. Trees more than 6 feet tall should be cut in half, if you can do so safely.
Place trees bottom first into the recycle bin.
For those without a green recycling bin, leave your tree curbside on service day.
