Disneyland Plans Golden Horseshoe Revue Tribute

The salute will run Thursdays through Mondays until Feb. 4.

A tribute to the Frontierland show that earned a spot in the Guinness Book of Records as the world's longest-running live stage show will be presented at Disneyland every Thursday through Monday, starting this week and running through Feb. 4.

A Salute to the Golden Horseshoe Revue is described as an homage to family-friendly musical variety shows of the past. It will include such musical numbers as Hello, Everybody, A Good Man Is Hard to Find, Belly up to the Bar and Can-Can.

"Of course, it would be impossible to completely recreate the original show without the talents of Disney Legends such as Betty Taylor and Wally Boag," senior show director Randy Wojcik said, referring to the original show's stars.

"But A Salute to the Golden Horseshoe Revue promises to honor that classic production and celebrate a truly historic venue in grand style."

The original show was presented at Frontierland's Golden Horseshoe Saloon from the park's opening on July 17, 1955, to Oct. 12, 1986.
