Give Yourself The Night Off — For Safety

National Night Out for Safety is Tuesday at the Target Center in Aliso Viejo.

Need a night out? No cooking, no cleaning and someone else entertaining the kids for a change. Who doesn’t?

If so, this Tuesday is your night as the city’s National Night out event, "Celebrate National Night Out for Safety," will be held at the Aliso Viejo Target Center.

The family event is hosted by the Aliso Viejo Police Services, Laguna Hills Police Services and Target. It runs from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the shopping center at 26932 La Paz Road.

National Night Out will feature free child ID forms and child safety games. Police and fire vehicles will be on hand as well as the Sheriff's Search & Rescue Bloodhounds and Crime Scene Investigations. Family safety, crime prevention, emergency preparedness information will be available, along with child face painting and free food and beverages.

National Night Out is a community event to raise awareness about family safety, crime prevention and emergency preparedness. The event is being partially funded by a grant from Target.
