Grab 'n' Go Kids Planner: Free Family Game Night

This week's Grab 'n' Go brings a variety of family fun. Whether you're toting around toddlers or teens, we have something for you. 

Look for the kids’ planner each Wednesday, and help us build the planner with your own suggestions and tips—just add them to the comment box. Even if you disagree with our picks, let us know. We want to hear from you!

PLAY AND LEARN TODDLER TIME
Where/When:  Aliso Viejo Library, 1 Journey, Aliso Viejo.  Thursdays at 11 a.m.
Why go:  Toddlers and parents can enjoy free playtime together.  Occasional guest speakers on topics such as early literacy and development.
Pricing:  Free 

FAMILY GAME NIGHT
Where/When:  Aliso Viejo Library, 1 Journey, Aliso Viejo.  May 19, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Why go:  Families can enjoy a large group game, free play of board and card games and snacks.
Pricing:  Free

YOUTH SPORT PERFORMANCE TRAINING
Where/When:  Wingspan Park, Aliso Creek Rd and Westwing; and Renaissance Club Sport, 50 Enterprise, Aliso Viejo.  Monday and Wednesday 4 to 5 p.m. and Tuesday and Thursday 4 to 5:30 p.m.
Why go:  6-14 year olds can participate in a training session designed to improve agility, speed, condition and strength. They will also receive education in sports nutrition.
Pricing:  $100 per month or $20 per child for drop-ins for Renaissance members.  Non-members may attend for one month at $100 per month or $30 per child for drop-ins.

SUMMER READING PROGRAM VOLUNTEER TRAININGWhere/When:  Aliso Viejo Library, 1 Journey, Aliso Viejo.  Wednesday, May 18 and Monday, June 13, 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. 
Why go:  Responsible individuals 12 years and older can obtain volunteer hours this summer by helping with the Summer Reading Program. Training is mandatory.
