Grab 'n' Go Kids Planner: Spend the Summer Outdoors

Art, music and water fun.

SAWDUST ART & CRAFT FESTIVAL
Where/When:  June 24 – Aug. 28, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily
Why go:  To see the fine art and craft of over 200 Laguna Beach artists. Includes hand-blown and fused glass, painting, jewelry, ceramics, sculpture, photography and more.  Attend art workshops or view live art demonstrations.
Pricing:  Daily passes:  $7.75 for adults, $6.25 for seniors (65+), $3.25 for ages 6-12, free for ages 5 and under, military members and their families admitted free with military identification. Season pass $15 and Annual pass $20. 

WILD RIVERS
Where/When: 8770 Irvine Center Dr, Irvine.  10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily through Aug. 28.  10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 29 through Sept. 5.
Why go:  To cool off in more than 40 water rides and attractions, including play areas for toddlers.
Pricing:  $34.98 for guests 48 inches and taller.  Guests under 48 inches $19.98, Seniors (65+) admitted free with valid identification. Season passes available.

AVCA MOVIE NIGHT
Where/When:  Grand Park, Aliso Viejo.  Friday, July 22, 7:30 to 10 p.m.  Movie begins at dusk.
Why go:  To enjoy an animated comedy in which the world’s greatest villain faces his biggest challenge when three orphan girls see him as a potential dad.  Rated PG (95 minutes). Bring blankets and low-back chairs.
