Kraft Foods Recalls Jalapeño String Cheese

A thin layer of plastic from the package may remain stuck to the product and be a choking hazard, says the FDA.

The following information is provided by the FDA.

If you purchased Kraft jalapeño string cheese with a use-by date of Nov. 23, just a heads up that the company is voluntarily recalling the product, according to the Food and Drug Adminstration.

This cheese is available locally in such markets as Ralphs, Vons, Albertsons, and Gelson's.

The voluntary recall is a precaution because a thin layer of plastic film from the package may stay stuck to the cheese. If the film sticks to the cheese and is not removed, it could potentially cause a choking hazard, said the FDA in a statement.
