  1. Valentine's Day is just around the corner. Why not make your own gifts this year? The Neighborhood Cup is hosting a jewelry making class tonight at 6 p.m. The class costs $5. E-mail Shagufta Qadeer at  shagufta10@hotmail.com to reserve your spot. 
  2. Interested in becoming a baby sitter?  in Mission Viejo is offering a Supersitters course at 6 p.m. Learn emergency preparedness, how to prevent accidents,  and other useful tips for $47. Online registration is available.
  3. The South Orange County Regional Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors monthly meeting takes place this morning at 7:30 a.m. The chambers Goodwill Committee welcomes new members. Join the meeting at 24031 El Toro Rd. in Laguna Hills.
  4. Another day and night of chilly weather ahead. High: 64, low: 50. Remember your jackets for your weekend activities.
  5. Aliso Viejo Patch needs your help finding amazing and talented kids in the community. We are looking for individuals, youth groups or teens that deserve acknowledgment for their achievements. Each week we will profile a Patch Whiz Kid. Send me an e-mail with your nominations for the next Aliso Viejo Whiz Kid, and be sure to include the following information:
