National Gym Donates Profits to Japan's Earthquake and Tsumani Relief
Open gym proceeds will go to the American Red Cross.
in Aliso Viejo is holding a fundraiser March 19 for earthquake and tsunami recovery in Japan. All proceeds from the open gym time will be donated to the American Red Cross.
The aftermath of the quake and tsunami has left millions without shelter and food, and water supplies are running low, according to the Wall Street Journal. Aid efforts are being hampered because of the continued nuclear emergency at the Fukushima nuclear plant.
The open gym, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., costs $10 for kids ages 5 and up. All gym equipment will be available for use, and coaches will be on hand to supervise children in the gym's open workout area. There are tumbling mats, bars and trampolines.
