'Cupid's Arrow' Hits Aliso Viejo

Saddleback Master Chorale celebrates emotions through song.

Saddleback Master Chorale performed "Cupid's Arrow," a compilation of love songs and poems, Wednesday at the Aliso Viejo Library.

"Libraries are great to meet the public," said chorale member Doug Setterholm. "I've been with the band for four years, and we usually have about four major performances a year with a few in between. Libraries are wonderful because of the intimacy of a small crowd."

Stephenson has been with the group since 1973 and began directing six years ago.

"We were invited to perform in Aliso Viejo by the Friends of the Library, and we happily accepted," he said.

Saddleback Master Chorale's next performance is scheduled for June 12 at Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church in Mission Viejo. It will perform Gabriel Fauré's Requiem with choral works by Fauré and Vivaldi.

General admission is $15. Student and seniors tickets are $12. Tickets are available at the door or online.
