Aliso Viejo's Buy.com Has Best Black Friday Ever

The site, which features thousands of retailers, sees sales increase over 10 percent.

Aliso Viejo-based Buy.com reported its best Black Friday on record, with sales up more than 10 percent over last year.

Buy.com, which includes more than 4,000 retailers, reported brisk sales of HDTVs, laptops, tablets, home products and toys.

"Our initial holiday results point to a strong start of the season, as consumers responded favorably to our expanded selection of products and our newest initiatives we put in place to create an even more wallet-friendly shopping experience," said Neel Grover, chief executive and president of Buy.com.

Founded in 1997, Buy.com is owned by Japan-based Rakuten, which combined offers more than 70 million products from nearly 37,000 merchants around the globe.
