Cow Appreciation Day Draws Large Herd of Heifers
The annual Chick-fil-A event on Friday promised a free meal to anyone who dressed up like a crowd, and no one was disappointed.
Shortly before noon, the Chick-fil-A restaurant in Aliso Viejo Town Center began to fill up with a herd of cow-like impersonators. Soon afterward, thanks to the local YMCA summer campers, the restaurant was completely filled with customers—and one large, playful cow—"uddering" laughter and enjoying some local feed of chicken nuggets, a side order and a cold beverage.
Friday was Cow Appreciation Day, and there were plenty of kids, teenagers and adults on the "mooo-ve" celebrating the eighth annual event, sponsored by Atlanta-based Chick-fil-A Inc.
Some came only sporting “Eat Mor Chikin" signs around the necks, while others, especially the younger ones, came dressed head to hoof in the traditional white-and-black-spotted furry costumes with black ears.
