Saddleback Memorial Medical Center in Laguna Hills has named board member CPA Patrick Donahue chairman of the board of directors.
On July 1, Donahue will replace Laguna Hills City Manager Bruce Channing, whose term as chairman is due to end and who will stay on the board, according to a Saddleback announcement. Donahue became chairman of the finance committee in 2010 and has been a co-chair of the Saddleback patient advisory council.
Dr. Richard Wasley is replacing Dr. John Schuetz as a member of the finance committee. According to Saddleback, Wasley attended UC Irvine and USC. At L.A. County Medical Center, where he was elected chief resident. He is medical director of radiology at South Coast Radiological Medical Group.
The new secretary of the board will be Jaci Songstad, who has been on the board since 2009.
“The dedication and expertise of those who volunteer to help lead our organization ensures Saddleback Memorial continues its legacy of quality, compassionate health care," Steve Geidt, Saddleback's chief executive officer, said in a press release.
Saddleback Memorial is part of the not-for-profit MemorialCare Health System, which includes Saddleback Memorial Laguna Hills and San Clemente, Orange Coast Memorial in Fountain Valley and Independent Practice Association Greater Newport Physicians.
