Sustainability Expo Aims to Inspire

The annual expo brings together local health, fitness and sustainability vendors.

The annual health and sustainability expo, hosted by Bausch + Lomb, welcomed the tenants of 30 Enterprise to explore different ways they can better protect the environment.

“Our annual expo is one way for us to spark and continue the discussion around community involvement, volunteerism and sustainability. We organize it to encourage our employees and other tenants to protect the environment and enhance the communities where we operate,” said Constanze Duke, surgical manager with Bausch + Lomb.

Albert Armijo, director of planning services for Aliso Viejo attended the expo as a representative of the city’s Green City Initiative. Armijo said he thinks it is important for companies to host this type of event because it is good for local business and is also a way for residents to get connected to their local government.

“In Aliso Viejo’s case, there were many visitors to the expo, including some who reside in Aliso Viejo, who were not familiar with the Green City Initiative,” he said. “Overall, public response was very positive, particularly with the public health and safety benefits of implementing the Green City Initiative.”
