Gas Prices Drop Below $4 a Gallon

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Orange County dropped a half-cent Sunday to $3.985, its lowest amount since Feb 2.

It is 5.1 cents less than one week ago, 21.9 cents lower than one month ago and 23.9 cents below what it was one year ago.

The Orange County average price has dropped 42 times in the past 46 days, falling 33 cents, including 1.5 cents on Saturday. It had increased 33 times in 34 days before the decreases began, rising 59.7 cents.
