'Octomom' Behaves Bizarrely after Dodging Child-Neglect Charges

Prosecutors declined to file charges against Nadya Suleman, citing insufficient evidence to support allegations of neglect and sexual abuse in the home of 14 children.

Orange County prosecutors Friday declined to file criminal charges stemming from a child-neglect probe of Nadya Suleman, a.k.a "Octomom," she's made a bizarre appearance presumably aimed at self promotion.

According to the New York Daily News, Suleman -- formerly of La Habra -- flashed her breasts during a drag show in New York City, pretended to feed a baby doll vodka and showed a sneak preview of her pornographic film.

The Orange County District Attorney's office made the announcement Friday that Suleman wouldn't face charges of child neglect.

"We received the case this morning and, based on the investigation by La Habra police, we found insufficient evidence that anyone committed a crime in that home,'' said Susan Kang Schroeder, chief of staff for Orange County District Attorney Tony Rackauckas.

Police declined to specify what allegations they investigated, but did say one of Suleman's former caregivers made allegations to La Habra police Sept. 5.

"Investigators identified that many of the allegations had previously been investigated by (police) and/or Orange County Social Services, Child Protective Services,'' according to a statement from La Habra police.

Suleman used to live at 2051 Madonna Lane in that city, but moved to Palmdale with her 14 children about two weeks ago, said Gina Rodriguez, Suleman's manager.

A woman who claimed to be a nanny for Suleman told KCAL9/CBS2 that one of Suleman's older sons sexually abused one of Suleman's daughters.

Suleman denied the child-neglect allegations in an interview with TMZ.

"All of this is blatant lies,'' Suleman said. "None of my children have been neglected or beaten, ever.''

Her manager, Rodriguez, issued the following statement:

"None of the allegations are true. This is a woman who became obsessed with the children and contacted me to help her write a book. Her and the other woman claiming to be nannies also are good friends and are trying to make money. When Nadya chose to move far away, the woman became outraged. The woman has been stalking Nadya for months, calling the kids and texting Nadya threatening text messages that she would go to police unless Nadya brought her the children. Neither of these women were nannies; one was an occasional babysitter and was fired this summer.''

Suleman's La Habra home went into foreclosure and a bank eventually took over the property.

Suleman gave birth to octuplets in January 2009. At the time of the births, she already had six children.
