1. Puppy Bowl: It may sound silly (and it is) but the Animal Planet's annual Puppy Bowl is an adorable alternative to the big game. The water bowl camera and the kitty halftime show can make even the toughest football fan say, "aww."
2. Family football: Playing football and watching football are very different. If playing is more your style, go to one of the city's many parks and play your own game. Bring your game time snacks and your most talented family members and you can have your own halftime show.
3. Ice Skating: The Aliso Viejo Ice Palace has public skating hours today from 12:30 - 3 p.m. Admission is $12, skate rental: $3.
4. Oscar movie marathon: Or if you want to stay away form sports completely today, why not prepare yourself for the Academy Awards, happening later this month. Aliso Viejo's Edwards Cinema is currently showing five of the 10 movies nominated for Best Picture this year.
