Small Quake Shakes Orange County Saturday

The magnitude 1.9 earthquake hit at 2:24 p.m.

A small earthquake apparently rattled the Anaheim Hills area of northern Orange County Saturday.

The magnitude 1.9 quake hit at 2:24 p.m. and was epicentered 2 miles north of Villa Park, or 8 miles north-northeast of Santa Ana, according to preliminary, automated USGS reports.

No reports of damage could be expected from a quake that small, according to USGS experts.
