I thought I felt the house move. But I chalked it up to how hard the wind was blowing!

What was thought to be an earthquake was, in fact, the MVHS JV baseball team - in town and beating up on Esperanza HS =)

Ok, new rule Patch, No sending out "Breaking News Alert" emails unless an Earthquake is AT LEAST a 3.0 & in Orange County. For other counties make it a min. of 3.5-4.0. 1.9 isn't really "breaking news" worthy.

Ruined my game of jenga when I least expected it.

1.9 is not much of a news breaker. My stomach does a 1.9 when I'm hungry! Lol.

We agree. It's really not a "breaking news" unless the EQ is at least 3.0 or greater. Having that said, we need to remind our neighbors-friends of the good old Boy Scout's motto: "Be Prepared" ! As an Eagle Scout myself, this has never failed me. Rather it has always helped my life greatly in the last 27 years. Phil Song

This was newsworthy?!

How about not until it's at least a 5.0. Anything smaller and it's just a truck going to fast over the speed hump

There was one in South America and one in Canada.........so I figured we would get one sooner or later, so I WAS GLAD TO HEAR there was one.....but only a bump in the road. We got lucky again.......but I have stuff in my car, just in case we do get hit with a big one. The East coast really got hit and I know we get fires and quakes, so it made its mark and it was gentle.

This is really newsworthy and nothing to joke about. Thank you Patch. Some may think the small Earth movementsl may not effect nor hurt much at the moment...but the science behind the movement proves it is significant. Again, thank you Patch for keeping us informed.
