Apple Pie Gourmets: Show Off Your Stuff!

This Fourth of July, show everyone in Aliso Viejo what a homemade apple pie should taste like.

The Aliso Viejo Community Association is looking for bakers for the annual Homemade Apple Pie Contest.

"Pies will be judged on everything from presentation, appearance and freshness to originality of recipe, tastiness of the crust and texture and flavor of the filling," according to AVCA’s event flyer.

Participants must enter the contest by June 26. To be eligible you must live in Aliso Viejo and/or be a dues-paying AVCA member.

Contact Recreation Director Wendy Cant at wcant@pcminternet.com or 949-243-7750 for more information about entering the contest. Visit AVCA's website for contest rules and information.
