MONDAY ESSENTIALS: What Stores are Open on Christmas Eve?

If you still have some shopping left to do, you’re not alone. Stores know there are still a lot of people who will be rushing out Christmas Eve for last minute gifts.

A number of national chains plan to stay open late on Christmas Eve. Toys R Us stores have been open non-stop through the weekend. And most Walmart stores will be open until 8 p.m.

Kmart may be trying to make it the easiest for shoppers. Most of the retailer’s stores planned to stay open through 10 p.m. Other Kmarts, especially in the Los Angeles County area, are scheduled to remain open even later.

Below is a list of some store ours. Patch highly recommends that everyone follow the links and click on the retail website’s “store locater” for times in your immediate area.

• Kmart is open from as early as 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. or 11:59 p.m. on Christmas Eve, according to the store’s website.
• Walmart is open until from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Khol’s is open until from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Toys R Us is open until 9 p.m. The store has been open non-stop through the weekend 
• Target is running on a different schedule. Some of its stores may open as early as 7 a.m. But their advertising circular asks that you check online or call your local store direct.
