A few weeks ago I wrote a blog on how slate mailers are a for profit operation normally selling space to the highest bidder. I recently received a phone call from a slate mailer vendor who told me a person who identified himself as "Chris" was looking to secure spots for "Children First " candidates. These are the candidates endorsed by the teachers' union.
Chris Korpi is the man behind Children First. He also has a strong personal relationship with one of the members of the teachers' union leadership. Of course, both organizations claim no connection to one another. It doesn't take a stretch of the imagination to make the connection between "Chris" the slate mailer buyer and Chris Korpi.
I warned you about past false representation on the part of candidates who are registered Democrats but had space on Republican slate mailers purchased by Children First. Aliso Viejo's Democrat on the school board, Gary Pritchard, being one of them. None of these candidates have disavowed their relationship or the purchase of slate mailers done by Children First on their behalf.
