Mustaches for Mutts Raises Funds for ASPCA

Ten-year-old Aliso Viejo girl hosts fourth annual birthday bash to support animal group and Mission Viejo Animal Shelter.

Mustaches for Mutts, a facial hair-themed birthday bash hosted by a 10-year-old Aliso Viejo girl, has raised more than $400 for the ASPCA plus food and toys for the Mission Viejo Animal Shelter.

This was the fourth annual birthday party fundraiser held by Bella Testa, a fifth-grader at Oak Grove Elementary School who eschews gifts in favor of helping animals, said her mother, Jennifer Encarnacao.

This year's fundraising was done in honor of Bella's Grandpa John, an animal-loving Korean War vet who died Aug. 30, Encarnacao said.
