You need not be a runner or even a walker to participate.   The common thread is to have team member’s continuously walking, running or rolling around the track for 24 hours to celebrate those who have survived cancer, remember those we have lost to the disease and to empower everyone to fight back against cancer.

Each year this worthwhile event continues to grow in number of participants and funds raised for the American Cancer Society.   You can still FORM A TEAM, or JOIN A TEAM... or simply volunteer.

We will celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost to the disease and fight back by raising money.  The Luminaria lighting ceremony will be held at 9 pm.

You can honor a loved one or friend by donating for a luminaria which will be placed along the track at Relay for Life to shine a “light of hope” during the ceremony.

The name of each person on the luminarias is read aloud.  Some guest speakers share their stories.  Following the Luminaria Ceremony, it is suggested that participants walk a lap around the track in silence to give respect to those who are ill with cancer or to those whose lives were lost.

For the past 25 years, Relay for Life events have brought community members across the nation together to celebrate, remember and fight back. The American Cancer Society has many programs that help people through their fight with cancer and they’ve been helping save lives since 1913.

It’s hard to explain the emotions driving the event unless you’ve been to one.  Please join us for Relay and walk a lap or two to see it for your selves.
