Impact Giving, a women’s collective giving organization based in Orange County, Calif., granted $131,000 to local and global charities at their 5th annual awards event, “Making THE Impact – Mapping YOUR Giving Over 5 Years.” The event took place May 14, 2014 at The Center Club in Costa Mesa, Calif.

In its first five years, Impact Giving has awarded $606,000 to 33 nonprofit organizations, locally and globally. Impact Giving considers grants in eight categories: education; hunger and shelter; women and children; human rights; human services; health and wellness; the environment; and arts and culture.

“It is a thrill to witness the tangible impact a group of motivated, charitable women can make,” said Ann Duncan Levy, Board Chair and  Co-Founder of Impact Giving. “The more Partners we have, the more we can collectively give to deserving organizations.  Our goal is to bring together 1,000 Partners, enabling us to donate $1 million annually.”
