Blotter: Caller Reports Man Wearing Ski Mask, Smoking a Cigarette

The following is a selection of calls from Aliso Viejo to the Orange County Sheriff's Department from April 15 to April 19.

A caller said a man wearing a ski mask was smoking a cigarette as he walked around the area near Hollyoak and Alicia Parkway.

The call was made around 10:23 p.m., Sunday.

Id theft. 10:13 a.m. Tuesday. 0 block of Marigold.

Disturbance. 7:33 a.m. Tuesday. 1200 block of City Lights Drive.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 8:55 p.m. Monday. La Paz Road and Pacific Park Drive. A caller asked sheriff deputies to check for a man that was asleep, face down, on a table.

Vandalism report. 3:22 a.m. Monday. 24600 block of Via San Rafael. A caller asked sheriff deputies to check for graffiti  on a common wall towards the back of the property.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 9:42 p.m. Sunday. Aliso Creek Road and Fwy-73. A caller said a man was screaming at passing cars and periodically jumping into traffic.

Burglary in progress. 10:38 a.m. Sunday. Cedarbrook and Glenwood Drive. A caller said that a man in his 30s was removing items from a minivan and placing them in a duffle bag.

Disturbance. 9:52 p.m. Saturday. 26700 block of Aliso Creek Road. A caller said that about five men were fighting inside the theater lobby.

Suspicious person in vehicle. 11:17 a.m. Saturday. Boundary Oak and Wood Canyon Drive.  A caller said two trucks full of bikes were driving up and down the street, possibly casing for bicycles and stealing them.

Disturbance-music or party. 9:45 p.m. Friday. 27300 block of Boundary Oak. A caller reported a group of people being noisy by the park entrance.

Citizen assist. 9:15 p.m. Friday. 0 block of Indigo Place. A resident said that someone was throwing things at his home. 

Suspicious person/circumstances. 5:58 p.m. Friday. Aliso Creek Road and Pacific Park Drive. A caller reported a man asking people if they wanted to buy “bud.”
