Police Blotter: Caller Reports Mountain Lion Near Windsong

Selected calls from Aliso Viejo to the Orange County Sheriff's Department, June 19-22.

A caller reported seeing a mountain lion that was sitting outside Barcelona Apartments near the intersection of Windsong and Aliso Creek Road. The caller added the animal began moving up hill on Windsong.

The suspicious circumstances report was made 2:56 a.m. Wednesday.

Burglary report. 10:11 p.m. Thursday. 0 block Vista Del Canon.

Burglary report. 1:36 p.m. Thursday. 0 block Remington Lane.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 1:01 p.m. Wednesday. Aliso Creek Road and Glenhurst. A caller asked deputies to check for a woman in her 30s, wearing a blue shirt and black pants, who they said was loitering near the area for more than three hours.

Follow up report. 6:39 a.m. Wednesday. 0 block Merlin Avenue. A caller said they received a package in the mail after the thief who broke into their car used their credit card to purchase the item.

Disturbance. 11:04 p.m. Tuesday. 0 block Sandcastle. A caller who reported a noise complaint against her new neighbors wanted deputies to return after they started slamming the moving truck's doors repeatedly once the responding unit left.

Unknown trouble. 1:21 p.m. Tuesday. 27300 block Aliso Creek Road. A caller reported a man in his 30s with a thin build who they said pulled into a nearby parking lot and prevented a woman from getting out of the vehicle by choking her and grabbing onto her arm.
