Caller Reports Suspicious Man With Young Girl

Selected calls from Aliso Viejo to the Orange County Sheriff's Department, March 23-30.

A caller asked deputies to check for a man in his 40s, wearing an olive colored sweatshirt, who was with a 12-year-old girl who according to the caller did not look related to him.  The informant who attempted to converse with the girl added that the man she was with would not let her.

The welfare check report was made around 5:50 p.m. Tuesday near the intersection of Pacific Park Drive and Aliso Niguel.

Burglary alarm-audible. 8:57 p.m. Thursday. 3100 block City Lights Drive.

Disturbance. 2:58 a.m. Thursday. 0 block Cinnamon Teal.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 3:12 p.m. Wednesday. City Lights Drive and Journey. A resident said they saw a man, wearing a hat, checkered shirt and jeans, who entered an adjacent apartment unit by climbing through a window.

Traffic hazard. 9:11 a.m. Wednesday. Wood Canyon Drive and Pacific Park Drive. A caller said a jogger who was running on the road was making vehicles go around him.

Patrol check. 6:26 p.m. Tuesday. Surfbird Lane and Seagull. A caller reported a group of six kids who were riding skateboards and scooters into traffic lanes.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 3:57 p.m. Tuesday. Santa Barbara Drive and Cabrillo Terrace. A caller asked deputies to check for man, wearing a gray or blue shirt and white pants, who was shooting rocks with a slingshot from a nearby construction site.
