Seminar on Teen Prescription Drug Abuse Is Tonight

Sheriff's Department to host discussion tonight on how to safeguard your family.

Aliso Viejo Police Services and the Orange County Sheriff’s Department will host a one-hour presentation Wednesday night about prescription drug abuse in South Orange County.

Deputy Darren Braham and CPS Margo Beauchamp will lead the event. The discussion will include ways to safeguard your family from the dangers of drug abuse.

DrugFree.org reports that “nearly one in five teens has taken a prescription medication to get high, without having his or her own prescription. In fact, every day 2,500 teenagers use a prescription drug to get high for the first time.”
