Car Sold by Non-Owner, Police Told

A selection of calls from Aliso Viejo to the Orange County Sheriff's Department, Aug. 9-12.

A caller from the 23500 block of Windsong said an acquaintance stole her car and sold it to a dealership in Huntington Beach without her permission.

The stolen-vehicle report was made around 3:59 p.m. Tuesday.

Burglary alarm—audible. 6:17 a.m. Friday. 26800 block of Aliso Creek Road.

Suspicious person in vehicle. 5:58 a.m. Friday. Cardinal Avenue and Canyon Wren Lane.

Disturbance—music or party. 10:29 p.m. Thursday. 0 block of Briarglenn.

Stolen vehicle. 7:13 p.m. Thursday. 26700 block of Aliso Creek Road.

Suspicious person in vehicle. 4:47 p.m. Thursday. 100 block of Vantis.

Suspicious person in vehicle. 11:37 p.m. Wednesday. Bells Vireo Lane and Hummingbird Lane.  A resident asked sheriff's deputies to check for a man, driving a black Ford Focus, who was parked near the site where a pipe bomb was found earlier in the week.

Assist outside agency. 5:56 p.m. Wednesday. 100 block of Nantucket Lane. Sheriff's deputies arrested a 22-year-old man and took him into custody at the Central Men’s Jail on $20,000 bail.

Burglary in progress. 11:03 a.m. Wednesday. 0 block of Cuervo Drive.  A resident reported seeing shutters open and close at a residence that was broken into last week, adding that the homeowners are out of state.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 8:53 p.m. Tuesday. 0 block of Tuolumne Way. A caller said three kids wearing masks were running in and out of residents' homes and garages, scaring the inhabitants.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 8:07 p.m. Tuesday. Creekside and Morning Ridge. A resident asked sheriff's deputies to check for a man in his 20s with short, blonde hair, who was standing next to an unattached white trailer with its cargo door open. It contained a Segway and a small car, both with “Police” written on them.

Burglary in progress. 6:59 p.m. Tuesday. 0 block of Abbeywood Lane. A caller said two people were trying to break into a white Nissan Sentra.
