Officials with the Orange County Sheriff's Department is hoping the public can help them identify remains of a female found in Caspers Wilderness Park just outside of San Juan Capistrano Jan. 6.

"It is estimated that the remains have been exposed to the elements for a period of at least six months," said a news alert from the department.

After preliminary testing, it has been determined that the remains are of a petite female, at least 30 years of age, shoulder length wavy dark brown hair with light colored highlights."

The department released photos of clothing found with the remains in hopes that someone would recognize it. Among them are:
  1. A size small, dark colored windbreaker type of jacket with snaps, manufactured by Auburn Sportswear. The front right side of the jacket has the embroidered words “Coach Williams” on it and the front left side of the jacket has a logo depicting a volleyball or a water polo ball.
  2. A pair of dark colored athletic yoga style pants made of spandex/cotton with light colored stripes down the side of both legs and a rear positioned zipper. The inseam measured approximately 29”-30”.
  3. A pinkish speckled short sleeved or tank top T-shirt with a black line design
  4. A bright green hair scrunchie band (not in shown in above photographs)

The woman also had a very distinct gold colored dental bridge on her left lower jaw and possibly had a broken nose at some point in her life, the press release states.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the sheriff's department at (714) 647-7055 or (714) 647-7000.

I am feeling less safe in my own neighborhood & it is a bad feeling to feel like you can't trust anyone amymore. May the find more details! & I hope she didn't suffer & is in heaven!

Russ was last seen on 05/09/2013 which fits within the 6 month window of the unidentified being exposed for at least six months. The t-shirt on Russ in the picture is a close match to the one on the unidentified woman, in my opinion. The black shirt she was seen wearing could be the jacket found on the unidentified woman.
