Family—Including Dog—Safe After House Fire

A fire at a two-story Aliso Viejo home was contained to the garage.

Firefighters were able to contain an early-morning  garage fire at an Aliso Viejo home, the Orange County Register reported.

A smoke detector alerted a family of four and their dog Tuesday morning before 2 o'clock, and all got out of the two-story home on Sandbridge unharmed, according to the Orange County Fire Authority.

The fire caused about $105,000 worth of damage, said officials. Investigators think the fire might have been caused by an electrical problem.
