Gloved Man Seen Talking To School Children

A selection of calls from Aliso Viejo to the Orange County Sheriff's Department, Dec. 6-9.

A caller reported a man wearing a black tank top, black jeans and black gloves, riding in a older model Dodge van that was parked on Wood Canyon Elementary School's front driveway. The man was talking to kids on their way to school.

The suspicious person report was made around 9:45 a.m. Wednesday at the 23400 block of Knollwood.

Disturbance-mechanical. 6:25 a.m. Friday. 0 block of Santa Barbara Drive.

Burglary alarm-audible. 12:20 a.m. Friday. 0 block of Eaglepoint.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 5:43 p.m. Thursday. Via San Rafael and Via Iglesia. A resident asked sheriff deputies to check near the trash cans for three teenage boys that were urinating, and possibly about to engage in some mischief.

Disturbance. 4:15 p.m. Thursday. 26800 block of La Paz Road. A caller said a solicitor inside the store was refusing to leave, claiming he was with the government and was there to audit her.

Disturbance-auto involved. 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. Aliso Viejo Parkway and Moulton Parkway. A caller said the driver of a burgundy Chevrolet Suburban was getting speaking on a PA system, telling drivers to get off their cell phones while making siren sounds, trying to get drivers to pull over.

Patrol check. 2:10 p.m. Wednesday. Aliso Creek Road and El Toro Road. A caller asked sheriff deputies to check for three propane tanks that were left in the parking lot of the trails leading into Wood Canyon.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 8:27 p.m. Tuesday. 0 block Prairie Falcon. A resident said a man that was trying to open a neighbors door and push open a window, proceeded to enter their backyard, leaving his Jeep parked out front.

Disturbance-family dispute. 7:04 p.m. Tuesday. 22500 block of Chase. The mother of a 21-year-old woman said her daughter's boyfriend assaulted her child.
