Man Finds Lock-Picking Tool Near Mailboxes

Selected calls from Aliso Viejo to the Orange County Sheriff's Department, Aug.14-17.

A resident from the 0 block of Meridian Drive asked deputies to check for a black bag containing what appeared to be lock-picking tools that was left atop the community mailboxes.

The suspicious circumstances report was made 6:34 p.m. Tuesday.

Fraud report. 8:25 a.m. Friday. 0 block Journey.

Burglary alarm-audible. 5:19 a.m. Friday. 0 block Journey.

Disturbance. 8:38 p.m. Thursday. Aliso Creek Road and Autumnglen. A caller said a group of kids outside the theater were throwing their skateboards at people.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 1:40 a.m. Thursday. 0 block Cinnamon Teal. A caller asked deputies to check for a man in his 40s, wearing a T-shirt and shorts, who was looking into vehicles.

Drunk driving. 11:47 p.m. Wednesday. Aliso Creek Road and Liberty. A concerned citizen said a man driving a black sedan threw several beer cans out the window and was swerving as he drove towards Pursuit.

Disturbance. 12:42 p.m. Wednesday. 23500 block Los Adornos. The mother of a 13-year-old boy said her son has been drinking and possibly smoking marijuana, citing that it is an ongoing problem.

Citizen assist. 8:34 p.m. Tuesday. 1200 block City Lights Drive. A resident said she was being harrassed by her neighbor's subwoofer's.

Suspicious person in vehicle. 5:50 p.m. Tuesday. 0 block Larkmead. A caller asked deputies to check for a group of male subjects riding in a white Buick sedan after seeing one of them take off their belt and bring out a syringe.
