Police in Arizona Arrest Man Wanted in Laguna Hills Stabbing Death

Police in Arizona arrested Derek Pinski, a person of interest in Saturday's stabbing death of a 23-year-old woman in Laguna Hills.

Police arrested a 25-year-old man in Arizona wanted in Saturday morning’s in Laguna Hills.

Derek Pinski, a person of interest in the case, was taken into custody by Mesa Police Department in Arizona, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

Pinski is believed to have been at the scene of the crime on the 22200 block of Caminito Tasquillo in Laguna Hills before he fled to Mesa, Arizona, where he was taken into custody, according to investigators.

According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, “Investigators are not looking for any other suspects at this time and there are no threats to public safety.”

The victim, a 23 year-old female, was stabbed an unknown amount of times and died at the scene.

Investigators have not released the name of the victim or any other information about her relationship to Pinski pending notification of next of kin.
