Resident Reports Police Impersonator

A selection of calls from Aliso Viejo to the Orange County Sheriff's Department, Sept. 27-30.

A resident in the 0 block of Bentwood Lane reported a man, wearing a baseball cap, denim shirt and jeans, that was banging on the their door. The man was flashing a police badge and said he was a process server with the courts. The man started running away after the real police were called.

The call was made around 8:28 p.m. Wednesday.

Disturbance. 10:58 p.m. Thursday. 0 block of Matisse Circle.

Prowler. 12:29 p.m. Thursday. 0 block of Oak Spring Lane. A resident said a tall man who was walking back and forth in front of their home while talking on the phone was now looking into their window.

Suspicious person in vehicle. 10:29 p.m. Wednesday. 0 block of Enterprise. A caller said a man in a silver BMW was smoking marijuana on the gounds of an elementary school.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. 22500 block of Chase. A caller asked sheriff deputies to check for man that was looking for open car doors while smoking a cigarette.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 5:44 p.m. Tuesday. 26300 block of Cedarbrook. A caller asked sheriff deputies to check for a blue van, occupied by a man who was looking at children playing at the park.

Assist outside agency. 3:55 p.m. Tuesday. 0 block of Laurel Lane. A caller told sheriff deputies that her 60-year-old sister just shot herself.
