A small plane with two people on board that made an emergency landing on a toll road in Mission Viejo Sunday has been disassembled and cleared from the grass median, authorities said.
The yellow and white Evektor-Aerotechnik Sportstar Max landed on the northbound Foothill (241) Transportation Corridor toll road at Oso Parkway about 3:15 p.m. California Highway Patrol Dispatcher Lisa Walkingstick said.
It was pushed to the grass median and was disassembled to be put on a trailer, which was completed at about 9 p.m.
There were two people on board but no one aboard the aircraft or on the ground was injured, Walkingstick said.
Fire crews were dispatched as a precaution, according to Capt. Steve Concialdi of the Orange County Fire Authority.
The plane is owned by Sunrise Aviation at John Wayne Airport, and that is where its flight originated, JWA spokeswoman Jenny Wedge said.
