Police Investigate Unresponsive Man

Selected calls from Aliso Viejo to the Orange County Sheriff's Department, Jan. 20-24.

A caller reporting a man in his 30s who was unresponsive near the nursery department of Lowes, near the 26500 block of Aliso Creek Road, told deputies that they tried to wake the man up, but was unable to do so.

Deputies who responded to the "investigate a person down" report around 3:03 p.m. Monday cleared the call about 20 minutes later. No arrests were made.

Hit and run misdemeanor report. 9:11 a.m. Tuesday. El Toro Road and Bells Vireo Lane.

Patrol check. 6:23 p.m. Monday. 26900 block Aliso Creek Road. A caller said a man driving a white colored sedan blocked her off at a parking stall by Ralph's, preventing her from leaving.

Suspicious person in vehicle. 5:58 a.m. Monday. Rincon Way and Santa Barbara Drive. A caller said an older model pick up truck with white lettering on the sides was slowly driving back and forth through a nearby alley way.

Patrol check. 9:48 p.m. Sunday. 26800 block Aliso Creek Road. A caller asked deputies to check for a man that was panhandling for gas, but appeared to not really need fuel for his semi truck that was parked at a nearby store.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 1:43 p.m. Sunday. 0 block Via Abruzzi. A caller said a man with a red lip neck tattoo was possibly casing the neighborhood as he solicited his services while going door-to-door.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 12:34 p.m. Saturday. Pacific Park Drive and Alicia Parkway.  A caller said a man who was wearing a camouflaged Army helmet was also carrying a big baton as he walked around.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 12:10 p.m. Saturday. 24700 block Via San Marco. A caller asked deputies to check for a group of kids who were all wearing black clothing because new graffiti always surfaces when they are seen together in the area.

Prowler. 10:05 p.m. Friday. 0 block Shorecliff. A resident said an unknown man who was walking around the front of their home knocked on their door and tried to open it.

Vandalism in progress. 9:49 p.m. Friday. 0 block Cottage Lane. A caller said her husband was able to force a group of people to drop the bag of feces that was about to be thrown onto their home.
