The Aliso Viejo Green City Initiative will determine greenhouse gas emissions for existing municipal, residential and non-residential sectors in the City; will set reduction targets; will develop goals, policies and measures to decrease greenhouse gas emissions within the City; and will formulate strategies for adapting to climate change.
Thursday's meeting will summarize workshop discussions to date and touch on the connection between the Green City Initiative and the upcoming comprehensive General Plan Update. A public workshop schedule for the fall will also be discussed.
