Potential candidates for three vacant Orange County offices have until Jan. 15 to apply.
The Board of Supervisors will make appointments to these elective offices that are vacant: auditor-controller, clerk-recorder and public administrator.
Job descriptions and other information, as well as an online application, can be found at the county's website, at ocgov.com/jobs.
Because the jobs are elective, candidates must be registered voters qualified to vote for the jobs at the time of the appointments, according to press release from the county.
The board appointments will be effective until January 2015, when those selected by the voters during the 2014 primary and general elections would take office.
That's the way government works. All government. Local, State and Fed. Help me pad my pockets and I'll help you pad yours. To hell with the peasant citizens and integrity!
