Supplemental Fund Would Boost Police Services

The City Council will discuss the SLESF for FY 2012-13 at its public meeting tonight at City Hall.

It will be an extremely light calendar Wednesday when the Aliso Viejo City Council reconvenes for its twice-monthly meeting at City Hall.

In fact, the council’s agenda lists only one item up for discussion: the Supplemental Law Enforcement Services Fund (SLESF) for FY 2012-13.

The City is eligible to receive up to $100,000 in SLESF, which will go toward police services to improve the level of service to the community. In addition, the City has $48,732 in unreserved funds balance, which has been appropriated into the FY 2012-13 budget.
