Two-Thirds Vote Still Not Reached for Savannah's Organic Ranch Land Lease

A third vote will be held May 9.

After a third gathering of delegates in Aliso Viejo, there is still no final decision on the proposed land lease that would give Savannah's Organic Ranch 24 acres on Wood Canyon.

The Aliso Viejo Community Association opened registration at 6 p.m. Monday for a special delegate vote. After a brief question-and-answer session, the vote began. Monday's results:

  • In favor : 1,676 votes
  • Against: 82 votes

According to AVCA President Ross Chun, these votes combined with the vote that took place last month total 6,918 in favor of the project and 1,135 against. Savannah's Organic Ranch needs about 10, 700 votes in favor to reach the two-thirds needed to approved the lease.
