Vote: Obama or Romney, Who Will Win the Election?

Now that the Democratic and Republican delegates have officially chosen their nominees at their conventions, Patch wants to know: Who are you betting on?

Now that the Republicans and Democrats have formally chosen their nominees for the 2012 presidential election, let the final stretch of the race begin.

A lot can change between now and Nov. 6: gaffes, scandals or even major international news events could shift the dynamics of the campaign. But right now, who are you expecting to be our next President of the United States?

The latest Gallup Polls show registered voters preferring Obama to Mitt Romney by just one percentage point, 47 percent to 46 percent. A USA Today/Gallup poll taken just before the party conventions found American voters think Obama is more likeable, but trust Romney more to handle the economy.

Pundits have been busy for months handicapping the major-party candidates on various factors: incumbent advantage, fundraising clout, even religion.

Patch wants to know: Regardless of who you support for President, who do you think will actually claim victory in November?

Vote in our poll below, and let us know your reasoning in the comments.

Excuse me. Hitler, Mussolini and Argentina are verifiable historic facts. Go back to History 101 and check it out for yourself. I could not find the one video I really wanted to post on Argentina, so sue me. I am by no means a Romney fan. However; I can look at what Obama has done and not done since he was handed the watch. At least Jimmy (the Peanut Farmer) Carter can say he is no longer the worst POTUS this country has ever seen. You call, or insinuate that Obama is patriotic? Let me justask you this them : How come America is not #1 in the world then? Do you seriously thenk and known enemies of the USA are afraid of us when we have a POTUS and Secretary of State globe trotting apologizing for this country? That does not sound like leadership to me. Tell you what Mercury, just vote for your soon to be dictator and if he gets re-elected do not ever say you were not warned. I am old enough that I will be pushing daisies and not live long enough to see what chaos will happen to my country if he is re-elected. Patriotic, how about five months active duty USMC, 26 months of that in beautiful SE Asia? I think I did mt patriotic bit, with my life on the line so you would have the freedom to be ignorant. Ask a vet, any vet, what they think of POTUS. POTUS is not popular with veterans, period. We (all vets) already did our time for Uncle and our country. What have you done Mercury?

Hercules, what did Obama and Clinton apologize for? Was it the no WMDs and Al Qaeda in Iraq? Or was it for Bush's false dichotomy message to the rest of the world including our allies in 2001, "you're either with us, or you are with the terrorists"? Did they apologize for other things too? Cite some examples. Meanwhile, most docile Europeans on the continent go suicidal if Americans vote for Romney. Go figure: http://communities.washingtontimes.com/neighborhood/stimulus/2012/nov/5/make-swede-suicidal-vote-romney/

Neither Obama of Secretary Clinton has ever apologize for anything? That's a falsehood spread by Limbaugh and Rupert Murdoch's Lying Circus. Bush and Cheney owed the whole world an apology, of course, and should be sitting in prison convicted of war crimes. Funny, how Mittens agreed with most of Obama's foreign policy during the last debate. Of course Mitt has surrounded himself with Bush's neocons, so how we can believe anything that he says?

I'm a disabled vet and did a 6 Year hitch in the Navy back in the early 70's. Only one of the many Vets I know is voting Republican. Those who vote Red, tend to be Rich and/or Redneck and/or Righteously Regressive and he's all three. Mitt Romney is a 4 deferment DRAFT DODGER!!! Friggin Chickenhawks.
